I have always loved playing games together with friends and family. As a child, I often created my own games to play with others. I grew up with video games, board games, and card games. Many of my favorite childhood memories are about laughing together, playing together, and simply having fun together.

We often sat on the couch together playing video games. The house would fill with laughter and excitement. And when we weren’t gaming, we played board or card games at the table. The atmosphere was always warm and cozy.

From a young age, I realized I had a talent for creating games. The creative process still gives me a lot of energy and fulfillment. Now that I am a father myself, designing games feels even more meaningful. I want to create something I can play together with my children.

In a world that is becoming increasingly digital, I find it important to intentionally create moments where we are truly together. Offline. Around the table. Giving each other our full attention.

I founded FamiFun Studio simply because I enjoy creating games. And I want to share those games so others can enjoy them together with family and friends, offline.

I designed the board game Appgrade to show my IT world to my children in a playful way. I wanted to make what I do every day, and how specialists collaborate, visible at the table. I also thought it would be great for colleagues to share their work world with family and friends in this way. The game is also intended for team building, to create a fun and enjoyable evening together.
